Arnold Laver Timber World has imported the largest Latvian cargo to come into Liverpool’s Seaforth Dock.
The cargo consisted of 3,600m³ of unseasoned and kiln-dried carcassing, KD CLS, KD PAR quarter scant and CCA treated tile battens, all branded with the Timber World logo.
Timber World regularly charters a broad mix of products to the north-west to ensure a stock rotation of fresh wood.
Pat Burke, Laver’s director and group product controller for softwoods, said its partnership with leading Latvian suppliers ensured flexibility in terms of adding or amending specifications to suit customers’ needs, without affecting lead times.
