A 16-page report on the timber industry and “the way it is set to shape our future in a more sustainable global environment” has been proposed to be published in The Times.
Topics to be covered by the proposed supplement include the use of timber in sustainable construction, developments in the architectural specification of wood-based products, the growth of wood fuel, the social value of forestry and the investment potential of the sector.
“The supplement will become an essential guide to the timber industry, its role in society and its role in our future,” said Simon Kenneally, project manager at Mediaplant Group UK, which is managing the report.
The timber industry supplement is scheduled to be published with The Times on November 20.
