Boise Cascade Corporation has reported 11% sales growth for 2003, improving profits marginally on the previous year to US$8.3m.
The Idaho-based timber giant’s sales rose to US$8.2bn, mainly due to strong wood product prices and growth in Boise Office Solutions.
Fourth quarter net profits were US$6.9m, from sales of US$2.4bn.
Boise Building Solutions reported fourth quarter operating profits of US$37.6m, compared with US$2.3m during the same period in 2002. The division’s full-year operating profits were US$95.4m, up from US$39.7m in the previous year.
