The Coniferous Standing Sales Price Index, which measures the average price received by the Commission for sales of standing timber, was 11% higher in real terms in the year to March 2007.
The average price per cubic metre of overbark standing was £7.97 in nominal terms (£6.17 in 1996) in the year to March 2007.
The Softwood Sawlog Price Index was 10.2% higher in real terms for the six months to March 2007, compared with the same period last year.
