The Wood Products Price Service is the first of its kind according to RISI and stores information on more than 1,600 lumber and panel products.

As well as showing the current value of the timber markets, the service also holds historical information on the timber market, allowing users to track changes to the sector over the years.

“Having a history of weekly price movements for any product at your fingertips should be of tremendous value to traders,” said Crow’s Weekly Market Report editor Ken Tennefoss.

“You can easily see price trends, even down to the individual item level.”

RISI, an information provider for the global forest industry, has broken the price service down into five sections, including framing lumber, structural panels, industrial lumber, particleboard and MDF and cedar and treated lumber, with each priced between US$195-295 or full access costing US$695.
