Timber frame wall panels based on I-beam technology have been used in a new primary school extension in Bo’ness, Falkirk.

Falkirk Council’s reasons for specifying Excel Building Solutions‘ Tradis panels for the extension at Deanburn Primary School included sustainability, insulation peformance and structural integrity.

The 200mm deep panels, used as infill sections in the steel structure of the 2,400m2 building, needed to be self-supporting up to 5m high and deliver a U-value of 0.15W/m2K.
