Meanwhile, the Natural Council of Maine alleges Plum Creek Timber Co should lose its certification after repeated violations of state logging standards.
The complaints were filed recently with the Sustainable Forestry Board in Arlington, Virginia, which oversees the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, the environmental stamp that covers 90% of the private industrial forest in the US.
