Turnstone Communications, the London-based specialist in timber public relations and organiser of The Wood Awards, has merged with Ideas, the communications agency responsible for the high-profile Wood for Good promotion campaign.

Michael Buckley will continue to look after the business of Turnstone, whose clients include The American Hardwood Export Council, the Insitute of Wood Science and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.

As well as wood for good, Ideas currently manages the PR campaigns for the British Woodworking Federation and its Timber Window Accreditation and its CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset schemes.

Ideas director Barnaby Dickens said the merging of the two team created a “powerful marketing communications resource”.

“It will enable us to offer an outstanding level of expertise and experience to this specialist sector to help it to raise its profile and compete effectively against other materials.”
