Tiger Timber has installed a high-speed Bosrob nailing line to improve the production of fence panels and allow the company to expand across the UK.

Tiger, part of the PEC Packaging group, will now be able to manufacture “high quality, very accurately nailed fence panels in large volumes”, which will enable it to expand its customer base.

Production has already started on the new line, which amounted to a £150,000 investment by the firm.

“The investment will allow us to produce panels from both plain, dipped and untreated timber,” said Tiger’s Colin Noble.

“The production will initially supply Tiger’s current customer base but as production ramps up before Easter we will be looking to supply customers from all over the UK who require a guaranteed supply of quality panels.”

Mr Noble added that the increased production will allow Tiger to supply “mixed loads to merchants and garden centres”, including decking, posts, planters and picnic benches imported from eastern Europe.
