Thomas Jay joins the magazine with 13 years’ sales experience at senior level in a range of industries.

In business-to-business media sales he has worked across print and digital publications and websites. He has also specialised in content marketing and assisted on awards events and conferences for different sectors.

His last role was as advertising/commercial manager of twin titles Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance, where he helped lead their amalgamation, rebrand and relaunch, based on a new business model that was positively-received by the publications’ finance sector customer base.

He is enthusiastic about his new role with the TTJ.

"Being a market leader, TTJ represents a really great opportunity and I’m looking forward to working with the editorial team to continue to build on its long-standing reputation and to continue its expansion and development to serve readers and customers across the timber industry," he said.

Editor Mike Jeffree welcomed Mr Jay’s appointment. "Thomas has great energy and new ideas for helping take TTJ forward, backed by extensive experience across a range of print and online media," he said. "I’m sure he will be good for the title and that the timber industry will give him a great reception."
