Terry Pace has retired from UPM after 43 years with the group.

He started with Pharohs Plywood in 1962 and after some years in the accountancy and secretarial department he moved to the Finnish plywood department and represented the company selling Schauman, Rauma-Repola, and Saastamoinen birch plywood, blockboard, chipboard and fibreboard.

When Schauman opened a UK sales office in the UK in 1972, Mr Pace was appointed sales office manager and was made panel products director in 1978.

At present he is deputy chairman of the NPPD as well as president of the Plywood Luncheon Club and serves on a number of other trade committees and associations and hopes to remain in contact with the many friends he has made in this context.
