A bespoke installation training package has been developed by Trus Joist for national housebuilder Taylor Woodrow.
It is the first time the builder has commissioned such training from a supplier and is designed help quality management, as well as adhere to the Egan report’s principles on integrated supply chains.
Trus Joist’s training programme will be placed electronically on the builder’s intranet, allowing site managers to demonstrate it to workers interactively via an ISDN link.
The “Tool Box Talk” intranet training kit covers subjects such as bracing and installation of TJI joists.
Every Taylor Woodrow site worker has to complete half a day of compulsory training on how to install Trus Joist products safely and correctly.
