C R Taylor (Timber) Ltd has created its own solution to the skills shortage.
The company has introduced its own training scheme to ‘home-grow’ staff with timber expertise. It says the move is not a ‘quick-fix’ solution but a long-term project that will stand the company in good stead.
Managing director Russell Tallant said scheme was designed to fully equip younger yard employees with necessary skills. The long-term objective is that every yard operative should be able to process every order.
