T Brewer & Co Ltd has sold its Southend branch to a BMW dealer after receiving an offer it “could not turn down”.
The deal for the leased site was completed on July 31, when the branch closed its doors for the last time.
Brewers acquired the branch a year ago as part of its acquisition of Enfield Timber. It said a small number of staff had been affected by the closure of the site.
The company said the deal was a “golden opportunity”, especially given the current general economic climate.
