Four Malaysians and 17 foreigners were arrested in the operation. One ship from Indonesia had been transferring timber to the other vessel about nine nautical miles from Tanjung Datu, Sarawak when officers moved in.
The raid followed a tip-off about large large amounts of sawn timber being smuggled into Malaysia.
