According to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Swiss demand for Forest Stewardship Council-certified products doubled in 2002.
The latest WWF European Forest Programme bulletin states that the 31 members of the FSC-supporting Woodgroup in Switzerland sold over €28m of FSC product last year.
In 1999 the figure was just €650,000.
