Swiftwood Imports Ltd has gone into administration.
The Wisbech-based company confirmed to TTJ today that administrators Grant Thornton had been called in.
Swiftwood, founded in 1982, was the subject of a management buyout in 2005 by Sebastian Di Cataldo and Peter Fiddling.
A £3.25m funding package from Lloyds TSB boosted the then new owners’ aim of capturing more of the added-value market.
The company has specialised in the distribution of machined softwoods throughout England and Wales. Its product list includes cladding, skirtings, architraves, window sections, decking, beads and quadrants.
