Pasquill will not only design, manufacture and supply the trusses, it will also liaise with local roofing contractors over the installation.

“In essence, it means a more co-ordinated approach to completing the roofs on our developments,” said Gary Fitzpatrick, McCarthy & Stone’s regional commercial manager (Scotland). “It’s one less thing for us to have to worry about.”

Pasquill construction manager Steve Tracy said some of the roofs featured complicated low-pitch truss configurations which had to accommodate a variety of building materials such as zinc and bitumen.

“We provide considerable technical design input for these projects. This value engineering is often needed by the developer’s architects as early as the planning stage, and it’s gratifying to know that our experience and technical input at this key juncture can help the build process run more smoothly,” he said.
