Despite a recovering economy and a challenging business environment, EXPO 2003, the 27th Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition in Atlanta in June attracted 4,185 visitors.
The products and services of 280 exhibitors were showcased at the newest hall of the Georgia World Congress Centre. These included forest products machinery and equipment and a full range of forest products such as lumber, plywood, pallets, treating and engineered wood products.
During the three-day show 23 seminars, co-sponsored by the Forest Products Society and the Southern Forest Products Association were presented. Topics ranged from power plant distribution systems and mill safety to preventative maintenance and mould control.
