Stora Enso has been named as one of the 100 most sustainable companies in the world.
The company has been included in the Global 100, initiated by an independent Canadian-based media company, and is considered among the best in class in the paper and forest products industry in managing environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities.
Chief executive officer Jukka Härmälä said: “It is rewarding to see that third parties value our sustainability work. We put a lot of effort into these issues and they are becoming even more critical when we are accessing the new growth markets in China, Russia and South America.”
