Steico UK has agreed a new partnership with MGM Timber (Scotland) Ltd to promote its range of wood fibre insulation products throughout Scotland.
MGM Timber, part of the James Donaldson & Sons group, is one of a number of key supply partnerships Steico is announcing in the next few weeks in order to give specifiers and consumers improved product availability and expertise.
Steico UK managing director Andy Moore has made frequent appeals for the timber sector to come on board with wood fibre insulation products and not leave it solely to eco merchants and nationwide builders merchants groups to stock.
“We are delighted that MGM Timber (Scotland) Ltd have come on board as an insulation supply partner throughout Scotland.
“For some time we have been encouraging the timber trade to become more actively involved in the supply chain of wood fibre insulation in the UK. The wood fibre insulation market has grown rapidly in Europe over recent years and the potential for further growth in the UK is considerable,” said Mr Moore.
MGM Timber is the largest independent timber merchant business in Scotland, operating from 13 branches.
