Rapid growth, environmental policies, good business practice and contribution to the community have won Sussex Turnery & Moulding Company Ltd, trading as Stamco Timber, a string of accolades.

The company has been recognised as one of the 25 fastest growing in East and West Sussex during the past year by KPMG in conjunction with Lloyds TSB who have listed it in their Megagrowth 25.

Stamco has also been shortlisted as one of only two companies in East Sussex for the SEEDA Sustainable Business Awards for the South East 2003 in recognition of its positive impact on the local environment.

It is also a finalist in two categories of the Builders’ Merchants Awards for Excellence 2003 – the Best Single Branch Independent Builders Merchant of the Year and the Best Builders Merchant Manager of the Year.

Finally, Stamco was recently awarded the CommunityMark accreditation at a Business Luncheon Club organised by Ten Sixty Six Enterprise. The award is given to companies that have made a sustained contribution to the local community. Stamco is one of the first two companies in the Hastings and Rother area to receive this award and the first timber and builders’ merchant in the country to achieve it.
