Wood flooring manufacturer Kährs has entered into a partnership with Reflex Sports Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of engineered timber sports floor systems.
The new partnership will centre on the specification of Kährs’ all-in-one Activity Floor, which is fully compliant to DIN and new EU standards and is the official Federation of International Sports, Aerobics and Fitness floor for the World and European Aerobics Championships to 2011.
“Kährs Activity Floor is an exciting product and we’ve already had a great reaction from architects and contractors within the industry,” said Reflex’s managing director Richard Darby.
Activity Floor, which features integral shock absorption and reinforcement, can be laid directly onto a level subfloor, eliminating the need for additional battens and fittings. Kährs’ glueless Woodloc joint system enables the floor to be laid around 50% more quickly than a traditional sports floor and makes removal and relocation easier.
