More than 150 treated wood importers, distributors and other industry representatives visited the US Southern Pine Information Centre at the recent Shanghai International City Landscape & Garden Design & Facilities Exhibition.
The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) said demand for treated wood products was growing rapidly in China and, as a result of promotional activity, southern pine was highly regarded.
A design and construction forum at the show enabled visitors to learn about southern pine for wall systems and timber frame construction.
The SFPA said more actitives were planned in the region, including seminars, field visits and new literature.
