Mark Smith has been named the new head buyer at Lawcris.
Formerly a member of the company’s sales team, Mr Smith joined Lawcris in 2002 and worked his way up through the sales department before becoming plywood buyer in 2005.
In his new role as head buyer, he has control of a purchasing budget in excess of £1m and manages more than 250 lines.
Mr Smith is now studying for a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply qualification in his spare time, fully encouraged and supported by Lawcris.
