The future of small woodlands in England came under the spotlight at a conference organised for woodland owners, managers and tree wardens.
The two-day event, run by the Shropshire-based Small Woods Association and sponsored by the Forestry Commission, covered topics such as grants for woodlands, legal aspects, forest certification, designing new woodlands, wildlife in small woods and managing hazardous trees.
