The land-based industries sector skills council will carry out a study into companies that employ migrant workers, in order that it can represent employers in discussions over migrant policy with various government bodies.
Dr Nadine Flowers, Lantra research analyst, said: “We are inviting employers providing work for migrant workers to contact us.
“We are fully aware of their importance in providing sustainable employment in our sector and we are pushing for the migrant workforce to gain access to support and funded training and education.”
