The timber connector manufacturer has moved from its old premises in Stepps near Glasgow to a new site at Broxton, West Lothian, enabling the company to continue to develop its supply to the Scottish and Irish markets, where demand for the company’s products is rising rapidly.

SST has reported a 400% growth since starting its Scottish business three years ago.

“We believe that this continued investment will enable Simpson Strong-Tie to further increase its support and service levels to the Scottish market,” said managing director Malcolm Paulson.

“This, along with our expanding product range, will be of significant benefit to all our customers.”

The Broxton site will also provide further capacity to house recently-launched products such as Quik Drive and the Safety Fast System, which SST said were being increasingly sought by builders and merchants throughout Scotland.
