The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) will send out its 2003 survey at the end of January.

The aim is to collect industry wide statistics on southern pine timber use, sawmill efficiencies, labour rates, product mix, forest certification issues and more,

The SFPA says that through the annual questionnaire sales and manufacturing managers can compare their 2002 performance against industry data.

For a draft of the survey contact wcamp@sfpa.org. Results from last year’s survey can be viewed in the members only section of the SFPA’s website.
