Setra Group AB’s net sales rose to SKr1.36bn during the fourth quarter of 2004, compared with the preceding period, but its losses deepened further.

The Swedish company’s operating losses reached SKr54m during the quarter, while losses after financial items amounted to SKr62m, around SKr41m worse than in the preceding quarter.

Setra said the decline in earnings was due mainly to continued price falls for sawn timber.

Full year net sales for 2004 totalled SKr5.27bn compared to SKr5.42bn (pro forma) in 2003. Operating losses were SKr70m and losses after financial items amounted to SKr108m.
