More than 100 people attended wood. for good‘s first “Building Sustainably with Timber” autumn seminar.

The event, held at the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, was attended by architects, designers, engineers and contractors, who heard about the positive environmental impact of using wood in construction.

Speakers included Martin Self of engineers Arup and Jonathon Stone of Finnforest Merk, who both worked on the pavilion project. Mark Lovell of Mark Lovell Design Engineers showed examples of his projects around the UK, including the Kindersley Centre, the Earth Centre entrance building and the A4 millennium bridge.

Further seminars in September will be in Harrogate and St Helens.
