Sentry Doors Ltd of Doncaster has gained independent certification allowing it to cut and glaze apertures in doors manufactured by the STP Group to BWF-Certifire Fire Door and Doorset scheme standards.
The two companies have worked together closely to achieve the Certifire approval and Gordon Yates, managing director of Sentry Doors, said it brings benefits to all.
‘It enhances our reputation for a quality service and STP has the confidence that the reputation of their products is not in jeopardy by using Sentry Doors as an end supplier.’
Ron Cohen, managing director of STP, said: ’In the past our efforts to produce top quality fire doors and doorsets have been bedevilled by people thinking it is perfectly straightforward just to cut an aperture and glaze it. When done incorrectly it compromises the door and the safety of occupants.’
