A series of technical and logging seminars, including a look at the market for engineered wood products, will feature at the 28th Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition (Expo 2005) in Atlanta.
The June 23-25 event, sponsored by the Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) and APA – the Engineered Wood Association, will also have seminars on automatic grading, reducing freight costs and sawmill business metrics.
Presentations include “Pictorial highlights of the southern pine industry” by award-winning author Dr James Fickle and the SFPA’s 2004 southern pine sawmill assessment results.
The SFPA and Southern Pine Council‘s (SPC) joint mid-year meeting will precede Expo 2005 on June 21-22 and includes presentations of key SPC achievements, plus discussion about future direction and programmes.
