Les Asia Ltd, which operates in the Khabarovsk region in the Russian Far East, ordered a line with a 500,000m3 annual log capacity in a two-shift operation.
The order includes a small log line with log intake, a saw line, waste treatment systems, and two Cambio 500 debarkers. The saw line processes the logs by reducing them on four sides and profiling them at speeds of up to 150m/min.
The plant will be situated in parallel with a normal log line which Söderhamn Erikson delivered in 2008. The equipment will be shipped next year.
Meanwhile, Söderhamn has also picked up an order for a Cambio 800 D type debarker from Begna Bruk A/S, as well as a service contract with Östanå sawmill near Edsbyn in central Sweden.
