The Scottish Forest Industries Cluster, a partnership between the Forest Industries Development Council and Scottish Enterprise, has produced a comprehensive publication detailing all aspects of Scotland’s forest industries.
Five thousand copies of the 52-page publication have been printed and 3,600 will be sent to people already working in the forest industry while the remainder will be made available to Local Enterprise companies, Small Business Gateways, the Forestry Commission, Scottish Enterprise and the UK Forest Products Association.
The aim is to make more people aware of Scotland’s forest industry and the booklet covers areas including sustainability, integrated industries, sawmilling, papermaking, wood based panels, new markets and innovation
