The frame, part of a circular structure measuring 1,200m2, is formed by glulam beams radiating from a central hub.
Upper beams are covered by an ETFE roof over the central atrium, while lower beams radiate against the concrete superstructure.
Some of the beams were supplied in two parts with a splice connection to overcome haulage restrictions.
The whitewood glulam is coated with preservative.
