A Hatfield school has won a challenge to help furniture components manufacturer BLP UK Ltd reduce its environmental impact.
Sheep Dip Lane School won the challenge, which asked schools to design a corporate character to be used in an internal awareness campaign at the company and also identify ways in which BLP could reduce its environmental impact.
“We are always looking for new ideas of how we can minimise our impact on the environment,” said Andrew Thorpe, director at Doncaster-based BLP.
“This project has been a huge success in helping to raise awareness and develop an understanding of this important subject.”
BLP will use the character designed by Sheep Dip School in its internal awareness campaign and will also sponsor the school with the planting of a tree.
The project formed part of the Technology Challenge, organised by Business & Education South Yorkshire.
