Trainees from timber merchants, builders merchants and DIY timber specialists joined two of SCA’s own recent recruits on the trip.
Last year’s TTJ Career Development Award winners – Lauren Murdoch from Howarth Timber Windows & Doors and David Clement of Holbrook Timber Frame – were also invited, along with Builders Merchants Federation Young Achiever 2013 winner Stephen Rennie of Keith Builders Merchants in Scotland.
The group visited SCA’s certified forests, tree nursery and the Tunadal whitewood sawmill.
