Jonathan Bower has joined SCA Timber Supply as operations director at its Severn Timber Products site in Welshpool.
Mr Bower has wide-ranging expertise in industrial production engineering, including having recently held responsibility for the manufacturing excellence programme at a major UK timber importer. The Welshpool site currently produces 45,000m3 of machined softwood products for the builders merchant market.
Simon Thurman has been promoted to developed timber products manager, taking over SCA Timber Supply’s expanding portfolio of window and other added-value components for the construction sector. He will represent SCA on the Wood Window Alliance and BWF Windows Technical Committees.
