SCA is investing SKr65m in its Bollsta sawmill, with two new chamber kilns due to be up and running this month.
Other improvements, to be carried out later this autumn and winter, include a treatment plant and a grading mill upgrade to boost capacity and allow camera sorting.
“These are important investments that, among other things, will improve our capacity to manage increasing deliveries to the builder’ merchant sector in Scandinavia and UK,” said Katarina Levin, sawmill manager at Bollstabruk.
The Bollsta mill has a production capacity of 450,000m³ of Nordic pine.
