A new five-year agreement between the Port of Hull and SCA Timber Supply will see the latter handling and distributing more than 100,000 tonnes of forest products through the port annually.
Matt Jukes, ABP port director Hull & Goole, said he was pleased the port’s relationship with SCA was continuing, while SCA Timber Supply operations director Neil Emsley was “delighted” to secure volumes from the company’s Swedish mills to the port.
About 1 million m³ of softwood is handled every year at the port.
