MDF mouldings specialist Springfarm Architectural Mouldings (SAM) Ltd has been shortlisted in the UK Business Excellence Awards (UKBEA) 2007.
In 2002, Northern Ireland-based SAM was awarded the European Federation for Quality Management European Quality Award and, according to logistics controller Richard Holmes, has spent the intervening period expanding and developing its operations.
“We have been through the upheaval of a major change in our computer systems, have achieved Investor In People Champion status and we continue to have excellent customer and people results,” said Mr Holmes, who was also head of the award submission team.
The overall winner in the UKBEA is to be chosen from five finalists during an awards ceremony held at the London Hilton hotel on October 24.
