Saint-Gobain Building Distribution (SGBD) is offering discounts on buildings materials for the group’s hospice partners.

Through “together”, the company’s charity programme, all trades people contracted to carry out work on hospices will have access to special discounts from SGBD’s network in the UK, which includes Jewson and Graham.

Paul Edwards, Jewson’s director of sales for branches and regional sales centres, who was involved in developing the scheme, said it was another element of the partnership with the hospice movement’s national charity Help the Hospices, which would reduce building material costs and allow the savings to be invested into frontline care.

SGBD’s partnership with Help the Hospices was launched across the UK and Ireland last July and has seen 168 local hospices partner with more than 750 Jewson and Graham branches.

Set up by SGBD in 2002, the together initiative has already raised £1.6m for causes including the British Heart Foundation, Great Ormond Street and Cancer Research UK.
