Three outlets in Jersey and one in Guernsey were acquired by Saint-Gobain in the deal, which gives the French company a foothold in the Channel Islands.
The branches combined employ 276 people and in 2006 recorded a total turnover of €51.5m.
Saint-Gobain, which owns Jewson, recently announced building distribution sector sales of €17.5bn in 2006.
