Södra has launched its new double timber certification – PEFC and FSC – at the Elmia Wood exhibition in Sweden.
Södra members can now certify their forests in accordance with both certification systems. Previously, they had focused solely on PEFC certification.
Due to the increasing popularity of FSC-labelled products, Södra said it had decided to also offer FSC certification.
“This strengthens members’ opportunities for selling their wood while also meeting market demands,” said Urban Eriksson, Södra forestry director.
