Swedish forestry and timber product giant Södra has joined forces with Norwegian energy company Statkraft in a €1bn agreement of intent on renewable energy.
The agreement initiates a range of investment projects including the expansion of wind power plants on Södra’s properties and the supply of biofuel from Södra to Statkraft’s district heating plants in Sweden.
Södra is Sweden’s largest producer of green electricity.
