The Södra forestry group has awarded its first ‘wood scholarship’ which aims to promote the use of wood as a material and stimulate its use in the building industry.
Worth SKr100,000, the scholarship is awarded to individuals who have actively contributed to promoting the use of wood.
In its inaugural year, it has been shared between timber construction technology designer Tomas Alsmarker of Växjö and acoustics professor Per Hammer of Lund.
