At a ceremony at Moscow’s National Hotel, the founder, Lesprom.ru, presented prizes and diplomas to companies and individuals. They included timber industry representatives judged to have made the most useful contributions to Russian forest industry development.
“The Pan-Russian Forestry Award is a serious stimulus that unifies all parties interested in the forest industry and the creation of favourable conditions for its development,” said Natalia Komarova, head of the State Duma committee for natural resources and nature management.
“The forest industry is one of the promising Russian economy sectors. Now it needs essential development so its future depends on our active position and professionalism.”
