Rosewood Packaging has opened a new site dedicated to producing timber packaging in Cumbernauld, Scotland.

The site, adjacent to the company’s corrugated conversion unit, will enable it to offer the design and manufacture of bespoke timber packaging solutions to its customers in Scotland.

This will enable the company to target future growth and draw in new clients, said group sales director John Lord.

“There are cost benefits to be gained from single sourced packaging solutions and the availability of timber packaging products will be of major interest to many customers in Scotland,” said Mr Lord.

“We anticipate that our facility will also attract new accounts and lead to job creation and further expansion.”

Willie Bernard has been appointed as timber operations manager at the site, with group business development manager Forbes Webster helping to develop timber packaging sales in Scotland.
