Timber engineering equipment specialist AV Birch Ltd has appointed Alan Ritchie as timber engineering director. Mr Ritchie has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry with roof truss and timber frame manufacturers and with a system supplier.
In his new role Mr Ritchie will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the recently rebranded AV Birch Timber Engineering division. Working alongside the existing experienced team, this includes ongoing development of new equipment and services, sales and support of new or used machinery, and servicing work across the timber engineering industry.

Our rebranding is not only a change of image for the company, it represents a positive commitment and investment to the timber engineering industry. We are already developing new equipment to meet future market requirements,” said Mr Ritchie.
